Hey don’t forget how Bethesda mentioned yesterday that Prey 2 is delayed simply because of high quality problems and that improvement progress was about as satisfying as Mass Effect 3’s ending? Turns out that there just could be a bit far more that they’re not telling anybody.

A source revealed to Shacknews that Human Head Studios stopped operating on Prey 2 back in November more than sentiments that their contract was ZeniMax was much less than favorable. A huge chunk of the team had been additional laid off with the hopes that they would be rehired when a more favorable deal was struck but ZeniMax stopped responding to Human Head in January. The supply claims that items had been hunting favorable on March 1st but rapidly soured the next day.

Rumours about Prey’s cancellation surfaced when folks noticed that the Prey two demonstration was cancelled from appearing at GDC 2012, which took place in early March, in spite of its sturdy showing at the 2011 E3, which a lot of praised. That Bethesda would claim delays based on top quality control is nearly laughable, as well – Human Head Studios have a history of generating decent games nothing wonderful but absolutely nothing terrible either. Rune and Prey are their two very best performing games and have cemented legacies for themselves.

Bethesda, though, has a history of releasing some really awful titles. Need to have I remind any person that this is the identical organization that released Rogue Warrior, The Legend of Jack Sparrow, and Star Trek: Legacy? That they’d discover Prey 2 to be of low standards is either extremely, very negative news for everybody looking forward to the game or an excuse for improvement troubles.

Senran Kagura 2 Japanese 3DS Game Senran Kagura gets Sequel, Features more Boobs

In Japan, the action adventure game Senran Kagura sold by the droves. Something about a group of teenage ninja running about in skimpy outfits genuinely seemed to appeal to the general populous. As the game was so well-known, a sequel is incoming! Developer Marvelous AQL  have given a release timeline of the games for August.

Apparently the game is going to function the rival ninjas from the first game and you will get the chance to take manage of these buxom young ladies. The game will feature an adventure element and and an action component. To assist give you some notion of what these games are like you can see a video below of the title in action.

Nevertheless not really have any notion what Senran Kagura is all about? Yeah, me neither. Although the game could be a fairly enjoyable action title, the probabilities of it ever reaching Europe or North America are pretty slim. The game is fairly clearly fan service and would be tough to industry in the west. If I have learned something from the way Mass Effect has been treated in the media (Fox News) it is that violence is okay in video games but boobs are not.

Better Business Bureau Sides with Fans Regarding ME3 Ending

580x326xnotdeadyet thumb.png.pagespeed.ic.vrF9S1I4f8 Better Business Bureau Sides with Fans Regarding ME3 Ending

Easter is the vacation for resurrections, and not to be outdone by Jesus, Much better Company Bureau’s Director of Communications of Northern Indiana, Marjorie Stevens, revived the Mass Effect three ending controversy by generating a post on the BBB Consumer News and Opinion Weblog. In her piece, she writes, “…did Bio Ware falsely advertise?  Technically, yes, they did.”

She takes some examples of how BioWare advertised Mass Impact three from the ME web site, such as: “Experience the starting, middle, and finish of an emotional story unlike any other, exactly where the choices you make completely shape your encounter and outcome,” and, “Along the way, your options drive potent outcomes, like relationships with essential characters, the fate of entire civilizations, and even radically distinct ending scenarios,” and then analyzes no matter whether or not this could be considered false advertising.

I currently gave away the ending (to her evaluation) by saying that the answer is technically yes, but right here is how she proceeds:

In the very first bullet point, where it states ‘the choices you make fully shape your experience’, there is no indecision in that statement.  It is an absolute.  The subsequent statement is not so absolute.  It states ‘your selections drive effective outcomes’.  A consumer would have to very cautiously analyze this statement to come to a conclusion that the game’s outcome is not ‘wholly’ determined by one’s options.  This statement, really though, is really topic to interpretation.  Also this is just a tiny example of their marketing and does not take into account anything that could have been stated, as far as their public relations and other advertising campaigns.

A blogger for the Much better Company Bureau claims that, technically, BioWare did falsely advertise Mass Impact three.

Marjorie Stephens, a Better Company Bureau blogger, claims that BioWare did falsely advertise the game. Stephens refers to two statements in specific that were produced on the official Mass Impact web web site:

  • “Experience the beginning, middle, and finish of an emotional story unlike any other, exactly where the decisions you make completely shape your knowledge and outcome.”
  • “Along the way, your selections drive effective outcomes, such as relationships with crucial characters, the fate of whole civilizations, and even radically various ending scenarios.”

Stephens says that the dilemma is that BioWare spoke in absolutes in the initial statement in reference to choices — “the decisions you make completely shape your experience and outcome.” Stephens says that the statement consists of no indecision and is an absolute.

Stephens says that the second statement is not as absolute, as it says that selections “drive powerful outcomes,” and that a consumer would have to be careful in their evaluation to conclude that the game’s outcome is not “wholly” determined by player selection. Stephens also does note that the second statement is “very topic to interpretation.”
