EA already super confident in Insomniac Game, aiming for 90+ review scores

EA and Insomniac together is a bit like an awesome comic-book team up; a leading developer and a leading publisher that both hold a number of incredible titles under their belts combining forces. This should easily make for a 90+ rated game, at least EA reckons.

Speaking to Eurogamer, EA Partners boss David DeMartini spoke a little bit about the upcoming title, and what they expect from it, saying, “Insomniac regularly has set a bar at 90 in Metacritic. I think this game is going to exceed that bar. It is a really great creative idea that they’re executing on marvellously so far.”

With both Resistance 3 and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One on their plates right now, it’ll be a while before we see the new IP, but DeMartini is quick to highlight the company’s skill at making fast progress: “There’s a lot of time between now and the finish line, but based on their track record, I’m highly confident they’re going to get there. I think sooner rather than later we’re going to be sharing some early concepts on that one because they’ve made so much progress. They’re in a great position.”

Two More NBA Elite 11 Videos

EA Sports has now released two more NBA Elite 11 gameplay videos via Operation Sports and notably these show the game played from the broadcast camera. Typically prerelease videos of a game from the non-default perspective are not produced but the reaction to the behind-the-action camera has been overwhelmingly negative. It may be that in hindsight EA has realized changing the default camera was a mistake. Continue on to check out the videos which are Hornets @ Clippers and Heat @ Magic and leave your thoughts in the comments!
