No Sequel For Kid Icarus Uprising

No Sequel For Kid Icarus Uprising

Kid Icarus: Uprising creator Masahiro Sakurai has revealed that he has completely no plans to generate a sequel to the impressive Kid Icarus: Uprising. Sakurai says he managed to fit every thing he fairly a lot wanted into Kid Icarus: Uprising and he believes that the novelty of the franchise would soon wear off. He did say that someone else besides him could make an additional Kid Icarus game, but it’s not going to come about anytime soon.

“If by ‘lasting universe’ you mean to ask if there’s a sequel, the answer is no.” Sakurai went on to clarify that the purpose is “because we pushed a lot into the game in order to let men and women have this short yet deep encounter, but the novelty of that would likely develop thin in the subsequent game. For now, my believed is that probably we’ll see somebody else besides me make another Kid Icarus in one more 25 years.”

New Dead Space Game By March 2013 (Is Probably Dead Space 3)

Dead Space Brute e1336485242934 New Dead Space Game By March 2013 (Is Probably Dead Space 3)EA announced that a new entry in the Dead Space franchise will be released throughout its fiscal year. EA’s fiscal year ends March 31st 2013, which presumably puts the game as a holiday 2012 or early 2013 release. My assumption would be early 2013 to hold from competing with Resident Evil 6 (and a lot of other titles).

It’s apparent to speculate that this new title will be Dead Space 3, but there have been many little stories lately to recommend this. In April, South African retailer BT Games started taking preorders for Dead Space three. Whilst this may possibly sound like misinformation or a desperate plea for preorders, BT Games has taken preorders for games prior to their announcement before (which had been revealed shortly after). E3 is proper about the corner…

Suppose this new Dead Space game is NOT the third installment, but rather a spin-off like Dead Space: Extraction. Amongst animated films, novels, and comics, Dead Space has been continually trying to expand as a ‘franchise’, so a deviation from the principal series would fit in nicely. But what could it be? A team based survival game? A sequel to Extraction? Dead Space: Party?

All queries about this new Dead Space game should be answered at E3 2012 in specific, “What is it?”

Prototype 2 Review – A Good (Not Great) Sequel

P2 Title thumb Prototype 2 Review – A Good (Not Great) Sequel

2009 saw the release of Prototype, an exciting new IP from Radical Entertainment. It was generally well-received and laid the foundation for an intriguing franchise. Quickly-forward to the present and we lastly have our hands on Prototype 2. Radical has set the bar incredibly high, and while Prototype two succeeds in the “fun” department, there’s a sense that they just fell back into a “safety zone” and known as it a day.

The main issue I have is with the quite weak narrative coupled with a lack-luster story. This time about, you play as Sgt. James Heller, a soldier who returns property from a tour in Iraq only to discover his wife and daughter declared dead from the “Mercer Virus”, the virus that the original protagonist became infected with. Heller becomes extremely unbalanced and re-joins the army with the sole-intent of killing Alex Mercer and satisfying his lust for revenge.

However, when the tutorial is completed, Heller finds himself cornered by Mercer, who proceeds to inject the virus into Heller (without having any true explanation), giving him powers comparable to Mercer’s. Mercer then reveals that Blackwatch, the military branch from the original game, falsified the report on Heller’s household and they are the ones responsible for Heller’s family members. The two men enter an uneasy truce and Heller vows to get to the bottom of the scenario and make the guilty party pay for his family members.

Even though revenge is usually a robust motivator for a character, a huge dilemma is that it is extremely predictable. You meet a number of characters and you know specifically who will betray you and when. Whilst predictability alone does not necessarily make a plot stale, Prototype two fails at delivering an interesting plot and this is due to the lack of depth that all of the characters have.
