“I feel we may possibly be the very first to do continuous updates,” Burns stated in an interview, “Microsoft knows that to do a comparable thing that is on Pc exactly where they continuously update it, that’s a very challenging thing to do on Xbox since you have to go by way of the complete tests. But they are fairly keen to move towards that – they do see it as the future.”
According to Burns, the initial Xbox 360 version of Minecraft will be based on the 1.6.6 beta of the Pc version.
As for patch certification, regardless of an accelerated schedule for updating the XBLA version of the Minecraft, Microsoft will nonetheless test all of the patches. “The complete turnaround of that testing they’re hoping to speed up, so we can maybe roll out every two months. We’ll have to see how that goes.”
Minecraft will be released on Xbox Live Arcade sometime in 2012, and will include Kinect help.
First Look: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD General Information:
Developer: Robomodo
Publisher: Activision
Release Date: Summer 2012
Platforms: Xbox Reside Arcade, PlayStation Network
Tony Hawk and Activision officially announced the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD at the 2011 VGA’s. It appears that the as soon as-respected skateboarding franchise is lastly going back to its roots with Robomodo’s HD re-make. Read on right after the jump for our 1st appear at the revival of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series.

The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series was 1 of my favorites on the PlayStation and the PlayStation two the first few games in the franchise truly appealed to both gamers and skaters alike. Tony Hawk’s Underground was the final game I really enjoyed, since the following installment – Tony Hawk’s Underground two – officially marked the downfall of the series, introducing obnoxious Jackass-inspired antics to its ridiculous Profession Mode. Right after that, American Wasteland, Downhill Jam, Project 8, and the laughable Ride diluted the franchise with gimmicky garbage no 1 truly seemed to want. EA’s Skate series picked up a lot of steam and effectively sent Tony Hawk and Co. into hiatus.
Soon after a couple of years, it appears that Activision is lastly listening to the fans – Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD is essentially a compilation of the best stuff from the initial two games, THPS and THPS2. Of course, some of the moves from the later games – reverts, spine transfers – will also be included in the downloadable title.

First NBA 2K12 Roster Update Now Available

2K Sports pushed out the first roster update for NBA 2K12 early this morning. The update includes some of the rookies that have been officially signed and player movement that has taken place within the initial few days of the new league season.
Of note in this first update is the removal of Brandon Roy (retirement) and the players stuck over in China, Shane Battier to the Heat, Caron Butler to the Clippers, Tyson Chandler to the Knicks, and Tracy McGrady to the Hawks. Ron Artest has his name changed to Metta World Peace and though the PA announcer says it the commentators still refer to him as Artest.
The update is missing a significant number of moves that have already been completed. Lamar Odom remains on the Lakers, Gilbert Arenas on the Magic, and David West on the Hornets. Jimmer Fredette, Kemba Walker, and many of the rookies that have inked their deals were not added – in fact only four rookies total are introduced with the update.
Many are sure to express disappointment at the incomplete nature of the update but it does establish simply getting that first one out of the way so that the next one to come (probably later this week) can sweep through and catch up completely.

First NBA 2K12 Roster Update Could Come This Weekend

With the CBA ratified and the league year having opened earlier today 2K Sports is now free to release roster updates at intervals of their choosing. A few rookies have already signed (Kyrie Irving and a handful of others) and some free agents have landed in their new destinations. 2K has commented that the first update could be released sometime this weekend but it may be better to expect it early next week and anything earlier would then be a bonus.
Other things to look for in the first update will be the removal of players contracted to playing in China (the Nuggets will be hit especially hard by that), the changing of Ron Artest to Metta World Peace, the retirement of Brandon Roy, Gilbert Arenas being amnestied, Shane Battier joining the Heat, and Caron Butler going to the Clippers. The Magic and Celtics also completed a trade earlier today that sent Brandon Bass to Boston for Glen Davis. More is sure happen hour-by-hour.
The trade that would have landed Chris Paul with the Lakers may emerge again in some form or fashion and Dwight Howard could be moved to New Jersey. Those would obviously be big enough to warrant immediately pushing out their own updates as soon as anything becomes official.
