Rayman Origins gets official 3DS release date
There has been talk of a 3DS version of Rayman Origins thrown around for a while, but until recently, there was no official confirmation. Well, that changed recently, as Ubisoft has the handheld version of the brilliant platforming game slated for a February 20 release in North America. Check out the trailer after the jump.
The 3DS version of Rayman Origins is just another February release to take note of, others including Resident Evil: Revelations (also for 3DS) and I Am Alive (another Ubisoft title, for XBLA/PSN). Europe actually gets the game a few days earlier, on February 16.
If you didn’t get a chance to play Rayman Origins, you definitely missed out. I played through most of the Xbox 360 version, and let me tell you: this is a proper Rayman title, and one of the best platforming games on the current-gen consoles. I would even put it up there as a runner-up for the best platforming game of 2011, next to the 3DS’s Super Mario 3D Land.
This handheld version should be great – just another fantastic 3DS release in 2012. Check out the “Making Of” video featured on IGN:
Check Out This Super Fun Mario Party 9 Trailer For Wii
Nintendo has released a new trailer for the next instalment in the effective Mario Party franchise. The trailer shows off a bunch of exciting mini-games and a lot of multiplayer related shenanigans. Mario Party 9 is due to be released in North America on March 11th and will be arriving in Europe on March 2nd.

Square Enix Registers Domain And Trademark For Final Fantasy Dimensions
Square Enix has registered both the domain and trademark for a forthcoming title referred to as Final Fantasy Dimensions in the United States and Europe. There’s at present no information regarding the game but speculation has currently begun online that the title could be for the Nintendo 3DS.

Here’s Five Minutes Of Resident Evil Revelations Story Mode
Capcom has uploaded 5 minutes of Resident Evil: Revelations footage from the company’s Premier Party event earlier today. The footage contains a lot of spoilers from the game’s story mode, so for those of you who do not wish to tarnish the experience you may want to steer clear of watching it. Resident Evil: Revelations launches January 27th in Europe and February 7th in North America.
Hyperdimension Neptunia MK2 Release Date Plans For A New Console War
Hyperdimension Neptunia is an odd beast of an RPG that was released final year. An expansive Japanese RPG, the game focused not on swords and sorcery, but the war in between consoles. The three primary characters were created soon after the PlayStation three, Xbox 360, and Wii, for example. In reality, the titular character is named for the aborted SEGA console, SEGA Neptune.
NIS America has confirmed that the sequel to the game, Hyperdimension Neptunia MK2, will be released on February 24th in Europe and February 28th in the United States. On top of the regular edition accessible in shops, NISA will be releasing a “Gameindustri Savior Set”, limited to preorder on their on the web store. This bundle includes an art book, playing cards, and the official soundtrack. This bundle is accessible for $ 64.99.
