BackTrack – Music Smash: Fez Effect Blog

Our second song mix covers ten games from March and April, like fantastic picks from Journey, Fez, and The Witcher two. Read on for thoughts on my selections and links to where you can check out the complete songs.

Although this only our second take on this format, it’s fascinating to attempt to piece together a flow from such a diverse choice of candidates. I wouldn’t have thought that Journey and Fez  had significantly of something in common, but positive adequate, we identified pieces that made for a entertaining transition.

Folks often ask for track and artist names on videos, and it is one of the issues I’ve made a mandate for BackTrack. However, finding that data isn’t constantly effortless. Not every single game has an album released, and I’m particular that some songs don’t even have titles. So far, Nintendo appears to be the most difficult in these regards. For Kid Icarus: Uprising, I was able to get track names from the sound test, but there are not any composer credits listed. So my only alternative was to list all six composers. Hope you don’t thoughts the short wall of text.

From here, we move into what I call the creepy section with tracks from Closure,  Silent Hill: Downpour, and Mass Effect three. Given that we just did three large videos on Mass Effect, I only kept in 1 song, titled Geth Talk. It is a favorite of mine that isn’t component of the previous videos or even on the official soundtrack. If you want to hear the complete piece, it is accessible on Sascha Dikiciyan’s SoundCloud.

The re-release of The Witcher 2 was a great excuse to incorporate some of those songs as I listened to that soundtrack quite a bit final year ahead of we began this series. It is also really cool of CD Projekt RED and Warner Bros. to contain a free album with each copy of the game.
