EXtroop1 Ex Troopers Trailer Released

Whilst the Lost Planet spin off Ex Troopers was detailed in depth yesterday, these days we bring you a trailer for the game! This is the initial time I have laid eyes on this game and let me tell you, I a pleasantly surprised by it. You can check out the trailer for the game beneath.

So how was it for you? I am very pleased with the direction that has been taken for this game? The anime style given to the game lends it a more upbeat feel which is a thing that has been sorely lacking from the Lost Planet franchise so far. Honestly Ex Troopers is reminding me a very good bit of Mega Man Legends. The visual style is really related and I would undoubtedly approve of a L0st Planet game in the vain of Mega Man Legends.

So is anybody excited about this game? Whilst the footage is possibly from the PS3 version, the trailer at least provides you a clear idea of what the game will appear like when it releases on the 3DS is the future. Needless to say, this is the most excited for a Lost Planet game I have ever been.

What does this mean for Resident Evil: Downfall? Facts after the jump.

E3 2012, the most significant gaming event of the year is quickly approaching, and several of the industry’s largest names are set to unveil new projects, as well as show off existing projects in greater detail, and often in playable form. This year however, Capcom has revealed that they have absolutely no plans to show any playable games for Nintendo consoles.

So, what does this mean for the rumored announcement of Resident Evil: Downfall for the Nintendo 3DS? Properly, at this point, nothing. Although Capcom has ruled out the possibility of any new games getting shown off in playable format at E3 for the Nintendo 3DS or Wii U, it does not mean that new game announcments won’t be made, most most likely with gameplay footage and/or a reveal trailer to go along with it.

Although this is somewhat disappointing news, and Resdient Evil: Downfall remains just a rumor at this point, at least it is nonetheless possible we’ll see a reveal at E3 2012.
