BioWare taking “brand new” approach to end-game content

Star Wars: The Old Republic’s end-game content will mix the traditional MMO system with “something brand new,” BioWare has revealed.

So-called ’end-game’ content is what incentivises players to continue playing once they’ve hit the maximum level.

The Old Republic’s creative director James Olhen told PC Gamer (via CVG), “We’re looking at classic [endgame] systems, but we’re also doing something brand new that hasn’t been done in an MMO before. So we’re going to mix those two together.”

According to the report, The Old Republic’s product manager stopped Olhen from giving any further specific details. However, he did say, ”We want to make sure the endgame isn’t completely different to what you have been doing. So there will be a natural progression… We want to make sure that when people play ToR they feel like they never run out of content… that it’s an epic story.”
