NCAA Football 11 Patch #3 Details
EA Sports has announced that a third patch for NCAA Football 11 is scheduled to be released on Tuesday September 7th. Along with the patch will be yet another “tuner” update. The most pressing issue with the game since the last patch has been the pump fake exploit and that will be taken care of here. - The pump fake exploit was resolved. The entire defense will no longer rush the QB after a pump fake.
- Resolved an issue with setting SS/ FS to QB Spy and then blitzing, virtually unblocked.

Did a drunk man really just give away the title of Red Dead Redemption’s sequel?
Of course they’ll make another game in the Red Dead series. The thing’s coming up on selling 7 million units! You don’t just let that sit around. So with the first game being Red Dead Revolver, and this one ending in Redemption, it’s always fun to guess what a subtitle might be called when the ol’ numbering system isn’t used. Not a crucial detail, no, but one of those fun speculations that it certainly doesn’t hurt to wonder about.
If a drunken fellow who’s “a services provider currently working on some early technical work” for the next game is to be trusted, the next game may well be called Red Dead Revolution. It’s not the first the title’s been heard, as it was the initial name for the now-beloved Redemption. On that note, it could well be a project name and nothing more. Odds are we won’t learn anything for a good while, so let the guessing continue.
Also, between this and the whole leaked iPhone 4 debacle, it’s hard to hope that my next bar visit leads me to a drunken employee from Valve who’s been hard at work on Half-Life 2: Episode 3.

You also have to finish several different game modes as quickly as possible. Every second counts. DAO Ultimate Edition lives up to its name, BBFC listing says
Dragon Age: Origins‘ unofficially revealed Ultimate Edition does indeed include all the contents the RPG has seen since its release last year. And that’s quite a lot.
Going by a discovered British Board of Film Classification listing (via), next to Origins and the Awakening expansion, the re-release will come complete with plenty of DLC: The Stone Prisoner, Warden’s Keep, Return to Ostagar, Feastday Combo Pack, The Darkspawn Chronicles, Leliana’s Song, The Golems of Amgarrak, as well as next week’s Witch Hunt are all said to be included.
EA and BioWare remain silent, and seeing how things went with the Ultimate Edition of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 earlier this week, it wouldn’t surprise if they made this edition official on the day of launch, which — according to a pulled GameStop listing — will be October 12.

Madden NFL Superstars Impressions
Madden NFL Superstars launched earlier this week on Facebook. The free-to-play management sim is supported by microtransactions and follows a similarly structured FIFA Superstars that arrived earlier this summer to big success.
After spending a few days with Madden Superstars my full thoughts on it follow, though as is the case with a game of this nature I can only report on the experience so far as there is no reachable end game. My impressions are based on not having spent any money on the game instead having played it organically and so far it has been a pleasant and enjoyable time.
Madden NFL Superstars uses a few different currencies. “Coins” are earned primarily through playing games and scrimmages and those can then be spent on card packs, stadium upgrades, and game changers. “Playfish Cash” is what, if one decides to put money into the game, will be purchased and can then be turned around to obtain those same things as well as game tickets and some exclusive game changers.

Betting against the odds: how Duke Nukem Forever is actually happening, and how awesome that truly is
“Extremely frustrating.”
That’s how Jon St. John, the longtime voice of Duke Nukem, described sitting on the sidelines and watching the well documented twelve year history of Duke Nukem Forever unfold. “Wow…I lost count,” he said when asked how many times he has recorded and re-recorded dialogue for Duke Nukem Forever. “It’s been through so many different phases and changes, but whenever they call me, I’m ready to go”.
At the 2010 Penny Arcade Expo today, there was no longer wait to play one game than the wait to play Duke Nukem Forever. The three hour long line stretches completely around the walled off black box that houses about fifteen kiosks featuring a playable build of DNF on Xbox 360. There are five security guards patrolling the perimeter. Outside the walls are framed portraits of Duke catching a shark with a fishing pole, Duke in space, Duke winning multiple Emmy awards, and other shots of Duke in his natural habitat.
Once inside the house that Duke built, you’re introduced to a giddy-as-a-Japanese-schoolgirl Randy Pitchford. I’ve seen a lot of developers and PR professionals fake enthusiasm before, but believe you me when I say that I have never seen a developer so emphatically stoked for their product in my life. The Gearbox CEO had a grin from ear to ear, was jumping up and down, swearing up a storm, and screaming things like “are you guys ******* ready to ******* play Duke Nukem Forever!!??!” He gave the same presentation for hours today, and every time he was on the verge of wetting himself with glee.
And when you find out why he’s so excited, it all makes sense. In 1995, he moved to Dallas, Texas to work at 3D Realms, and the first game he ever worked on was Duke Nukem 3D. At the show, he was wearing a Duke Nukem shirt that George Broussard pressed for him in 1996 to celebrate the release of Duke Nukem 3D. Some people have said Gearbox working on a project like Duke Nukem Forever is a step down for the developer, but to Pitchford, it’s an honor of the highest caliber. In his eyes, he owes his entire livelihood to Duke.
