The Line Drive 5/30

LINEDRIVE The Line Drive 5/30

The Line Drive is a weekly collection of news, links, and updates that didn’t necessarily warrant their own postings.

  • FIFA Superstars has launched on Facebook. Click here to access the application. The game is free to play with optional microtransactions.
  • I had wondered if the “Online Pass” would eliminate Gamestop preorder deals for EA Sports games. It may not have done that but it seems to have at least reduced their importance. Madden 11 will get you 20,000 coins for use in Madden Ultimate Team while NCAA 11 will provide a recruit boost.
  • To unlock Shaq for use in UFC 2010 do the following at the main menu: (360) Right, Up, Left, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right, Down, Left, X, Y, Y, X, Start. (PS3) Right, Up, Left, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right, Down, Left, Square, Triangle, Triangle, Square, Start.
  • E3 is now just two weeks away. Make sure you’re following on Twitter and “like” on Facebook for extended on-the-floor coverage.

Treyarch working solely on Call of Duty

treyarch Treyarch working solely on Call of Duty

Having worked on nothing but the Call of Duty franchise since 2008, Treyarch should be announcing a new videogame soon, right? Fat chance, says studio head Mark Lamia.

“Treyarch is a 100-percent Call of Duty studio — and it has been for a long time now, long before any of [the Infinity Ward] events occurred,” said Lamia.

All the studio’s efforts have been aimed towards making the “best Call of Duty game we possibly can,” aka Call of Duty Black Ops, which Lamia says meant they worked on nothing else. Having several teams in-studio didn’t change anything: “…focusing on Call of Duty and Call of Duty gameplay meant focusing all of our teams on that,” he says.

The Legend of Zelda – Information Leaked

A new legend of Zelda video game will be released anytime soon. It is an instalment for the Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda series.  There is no specific information being about this new game except for  the fact that it will be a continuation of the previous game with Nintendo’s next generation platform.

This years instalment is actually the sixteenth instalment of this game. It is confirmed that this new version utilizes Wii Motion Plus peripheral for sword fighting and archery both for staples and series. According to some sources this game is being developed for five years. With this span of time of developing, I think it well made and will surely bring out so much fun for everyone.

Actually, The Legend of Zelda is only the tentative title of this year’s Zelda series.  It is being called and developed by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development. Nintendo has never revealed anything concrete as of the moment which is good I think in order to make their followers get more excited about this game.

According to rumors, this games mechanic and gameplay is complete. Nintendo is currently polishing up games story and characters. At the start you will be able to choose from right or left handed.  Link’s sword is also unique with this game.  But this information is not confirmed by Nintendo yet, but for sure they will create a great game.

Nintendo Wii Cave Story

Have you ever play Wii Cave Story? If not you should try it. Playing Cave Story is like discovering a fantastic NES game. Cave story will give you a right feeling on Nintendo System. Cave story was released a few years ago on the PC and it became a cult classic overnight. For those who are not familiar with Cave Story, it is a game that barrows it gameplay roots from the Metroid series.

This game is worth notable for so many reasons and really worth buying for. It is considered as the successor of Super Metroid in 2D action. There are also elements of Mario and Mega Man and also shares the insanity of Treasures titles packed in.

Cave Story is a proof that there can be fun boss fight in an action game. It’s story contains a good deal of subtext and imaginative.  It feels like a macabre fairy tale. The game starts with your character, a recon reboot named as Quote with no knowledge as in the dark player.

This game will take you into a rare world where curious race innocent will surely enjoy. In this game you are called Mimiga run free. You wake up in a dark cave with no memory of who you are, where you came from or you’re in that place. I myself is addicted into this game and I really love it.
