MIcrosoft to phase out MUs and 120gig hard drive
Microsoft’s Larry Hryb has confirmed that Xbox 360 Memory Units and the 120GB hard drive are to be phased out following the introduction of USB storage compatibility to the console.
According to Hyrb, speaking to Joystiq, “the channel is being drained” of the storage options.

BioWare celebrates its fans, gives away $60k worth of goods

The countdown timer started last week on Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins‘ websites has ended, revealing not new content for the games, or any PS3 ports, but BioWare Bazaar, a community event to celebrate 15 years of (US) fan support. Naturally, free goods are involved.
Over 400 prizes are up for grabs in fact, ranging from $4 stickers to Mass Effect and Dragon Age branded PCs worth thousands. BioWare has posted the official rules which hold all the details here.
The contest is open to US residents only, with the odd exceptions of Florida and New York.
Battlefield 1943 sells a million on XBLA, PC version “soon”

The Xbox 360 version of the shooter with the unique inception story, last summer’s Battlefield 1943, has crossed the one million sold mark, EA’s announced today. And it’s the fastest game in Xbox Live Arcade’s library to do so.
“An incredible achievement,” producer Gordon Van Dyke calls it. “The game has set a new standard for what can be done in the downloadable games category.”
1943’s available on both the XBLA and PSN for 1200 MS Points and $15, respectively. The PC version is still coming as well; “soon,” according to today’s announcement.
