Cloud Computing Game Service Launching June 17

At the GDC in San Francisco this morning, Steve Perlman, CEO of OnLive, a cloud computing gaming service, announced the details regarding their launch.

The pricing and platform details for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Crystal Dynamics’ recently announced isometric approach to Tomb Raider, have been revealed at GDC; the developer told Joystiq that the six-hour-long top-down adventure will launch on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC for $15.

As detailed a few days ago, The Guardian of Light is a cooperative affair and can be finished with a spear and shield-wielding Mayan tribesman named Totec fighting by the well known heroine’s side.

The precise release date remains unknown for now, though a wide ’summer’ release window has been given.

Ubisoft’s deceptive real-time strategy title R.U.S.E. has been scheduled for an early June release, the company has announced. Or has it?

Yup, I’m pretty sure it has actually. The “one-of-a-kind real-time strategy game that allows players to bluff their enemies to lead their nation to victory” is heading to North America on June 8 and the UK on June 4, it’s being reported all over.

Those looking put their bluffing skills to the test ahead of the release can give the public beta a go — developer Eugen kicked it off just yesterday.
