wii – YouTube – Smash My Wii

(PLEASE HELP!!!) nintendo wii trouble?!?!?

My friend plugged in her wii and turned it on, when she did only the audio was playing but there was no image appearing on the screen. She tried unplugging it and plugging it back in. She also tried taking the game out and putting it back in, and she checked all the cables to make sure they were all plugged in properly. I dont think there is a possibility that any of the parts are worn out because she barely uses it, and it practically new she bought in december.

Is this a popular defect with wii's?

Does anyone know what is wrong with it and how to fix it?

If we have to go out and have it fixed how much would it cost?

Sony patents degradable demo

sony logo Sony patents degradable demo

A new patent filed by Sony may change the way users play a videogame demo, literally.

The idea, known as the ‘degradable’ or ‘deteriorating’ demo would allow users free access to a full game, only to have the features of the game removed over time. Possible features that would be removed include weapons, playable characters and levels. The patent is also said to involve changing sound effects and adjusting brightness as a means of encouraging the user to purchase the full game.

According to Siliconera, the patent boasts it is preferable to the current system of demos because the technology could be distributed on physical media. A digital code for the full game would be the only thing needed in order to restore the game back to its intended state.

Next project uncertain for God of War III developer

god of war iii1 Next project uncertain for God of War III developer

Even though God of War III isn’t coming out for a little over a week, people still want to know what the team has in store for their next project and if it involves Kratos and Company. Steve Caterson, Senior Producer at Sony Computer Entertainment Santa Monica, stated that not only is their next project not necessarily God of War related, but that he doesn’t know what the next game will involve at all.

“I have no idea! I just finished three years of my life on God of War III and seven years on the God of War series – I have kids younger than that,” Said Caterson. “We’re excited to work on large projects but it’s not a decision that’s made flippantly and we’re going to take our time with it.”

Even though the team doesn’t know the next title they’ll be working on doesn’t mean the epic action series is over.

“Well, God of War III is the end of the trilogy. We didn’t leave you on a cliffhanger but I think it’s not the end of the franchise,” Caterson said. “I’m looking forward to do [sic] something different if we can. It also might be nice to return to the franchise if we can and bring all that knowledge back from wherever we go. Anything’s possible. It’s premature to say what it might be, since I don’t even know what I’ll be doing next week.”

While some are crossing their fingers hoping the next project is indeed God of War related, others would rather see the game take a break to avoid burning the series out. As long as the series is profitable, I’m sure Sony will see that it doesn’t stay dormant for too long.
