Witness the story behind Sam Fisher’s Conviction

Ubisoft has debuted the single-player story trailer for Splinter Cell: Conviction and it plays pretty much like one for a blockbuster movie; some guy flexes his Krav Maga muscles, there’s an EMP bomb unaccounted for, and POTUS is in danger. Who you gonna call?

New Just Cause 2 Gravity Trailer Released

New Just Cause 2 Gravity Trailer Released New Just Cause 2 Gravity Trailer ReleasedAvalanche Studios has released a new Just Cause 2 trailer entitled "Gravity" that gives us even more ideas on all of the inventive ways we torment the enemies in their game.

Just Cause 2 is hitting the home stretch and is only a little more than a month out from release. From the very beginning of development, Avalanche Studios has really pushed the idea of total freedom to do whatever you like on their huge island. This idea is perfectly demonstrated in the new Just Cause 2 trailer. We get to see all kinds of cool inventive ways to dispose of enemies and it seems like the only limit is your imagination. My personal favorite is strapping the gas can to the back of an enemy and then shooting the gas tank. When the gas tank takes off into the sky it drags the enemy with him. I can see myself doing this for hours and not even starting the actual storyline of the game.

Just Cause 2 is going to be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the PC on March 23rd. Check out the new trailer after the jump.Read more…

Bad Company 2’s launch day DLC brings additional multiplayer maps

bad company 21 Bad Company 2’s launch day DLC brings additional multiplayer maps

Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s previously unknown launch day downloadable content has been clarified. All new copies of the game will include a VIP code — much like the code that activated the Cerberus Network for Mass Effect 2 — which will give access to a number of new multiplayer maps on day one. The exact number or nature of the maps remains unknown, however they will of course be free.

“We want people to insert the code they get when they buy the game to get access to [DLC]. It’s connected to your personal account, more or less, and what we want to do is give you something extra, added value, for that,” senior producer Patrick Bach says. “In the future you will get more content, for free, if you have this VIP code.”

Those who go the used game route will have to, again, much like in Mass Effect 2’s case, purchase VIP access separately for a yet to be specified sum. If Mass Effect 2 is any indication though then that sum will be $15.
